Found lore: Desolator of Faiths

"...There is power in renouncing your gods. To be in tune with nature, to move within its flow, does indeed help one utilize a power. But within that, you are limited to an amount of power allowed to you. You have no say in how much power you are born into. Generations before you exist, your lot in life is determined, and your destiny is written.

Your life is not your own.

There are no limits outside the cycle. Geltakaenogh, once a warden of the eternal cycle, left it on his own accord, to show us what we could become. The godly system has power, but not for me, and not for you. We are just sacrificial flesh to feed those whom the system was built by and built for. His gifts to us--power given unconditionally--are but a taste of what lies beyond the cycle.

You were all born with gifts to help understand the godly cycle, to move within it, to grow within it, to become plump and fatty--of both soul and body--to better feed your lords. Reject the godhood within you, as Geltakaenogh did; reject the system that binds you.

I came to this monastery in peace--I wanted only to save the priest and his congregation. However, the humans cannot accept such truths! They have made a covenant with their gods: enforce the cycle and gain dominance over all other creatures. A tempting pact! But in accepting it, they have blinded themselves to the truth, and surrendered the ability to ever see it. It begets anger when you show them what they’ve lost, and thus they turn to aggression, and violence. I freed this priest of his mortal coil, so he may dwell within the heaven pasture his pact promises him. Maybe now that he rests in his eternal cage, he will see the truth that was withheld from him.

We must be unlike the human - we must reject the god pact within us. We will not live a confined life just to be a god’s pet in death. All of you who hear my words, do as Geltakaenogh has done, and I have done: partake in kenosis - remove the godliness from yourselves and grow beyond the eternal cycle. Spread these words to all who will listen - and if they do not, free them from the cycle so their death does not feed their gods further.

I am not promising you eternal existence and endless power - I simply hope to free you of your binds. What you make of yourself henceforth is of your own doing. Should your existence cease soon after, be at peace knowing you experienced more freedom than your transgressor ever will."
