Complexity:

Faction Rules

Bound in Roots: Pieces with the [Golem] tag do not start the game on the board.[1]

Awaken: If a piece with this rule ends its Move adjacent to a Tree, roll its dice. If the sum of the results is 6 or greater, replace that Tree with a [Golem] piece of yours that was not yet deployed.

Iron Bones and Stone Flesh: If a piece with this rule would be slain while it isn't Cursed, instead Curse it and place it into an unoccupied adjacent square. While a piece with this rule is Cursed, it cannot Attack or Defend at Advantage. Once a piece with this rule enters the ‘slain’ zone, it cannot leave the ‘slain’ zone.

FAQ & Elaborations

  1. Keep their pieces in the “Removed from the board” zone on your Activation Tracker sheet.
  2. While a Knight of yours is on the board, this Queen has the Transport and Mounted Advantage rules. While a Bishop of yours is on the board, this Queen has either the Void rule or the Wisdom of the Ancients rule - depending on which Bishop option is on the board. While a Rook of yours is on the board, this Queen has the Castle and Sapphire Core rules.
  3. 3.0 3.1 This temporary location relation is relevant for its Castle rule.
  4. Tokens gained from combat movement are not gained, as this is a part of the Attack resolution. Though this Bishop is still able to gain tokens.
  5. This includes any action that causes the piece's player to interact with the tarot cards/deck.
  6. If an effect would say “...this piece cannot be slain”, or something to that effect, it does not function under the conditions of this rule. This affects ally pieces as well.
  7. If there are not enough unoccupied squares those allies could be placed into, they cannot be placed adjacent to this Knight.
