Factions are broken down into difficult ratings, ranging from one (★) to three (★★★) stars.

Players who are new to the game are recommended to start with one-star (★) factions.

One-star Factions

These factions are fairly straightforward. New players and seasoned players alike should be able to understand their nuances fairly quickly.

★ Factions
Faction Description Date of Release Notes
The Blights of Winter Debilitate your opponent's pieces with storms of Disadvantage tokens! But don't go about it too intensely, Spring could come early...
King's Court Members of the King's Court start off with exceptional power and privilege. Keep it going, use it well, but be careful not to lose it - they don't have good means to get it back!

Two-star Factions

Two-star factions require a bit more effort to learn. New players may need a few games to get comfortable with them. Experienced players should be able to understand them within a game or two.
