Factions are broken down into difficult ratings, ranging from one (★) to three (★★★) stars.
Players who are new to the game are recommended to start with one-star (★) factions.
One-star Factions
These factions are fairly straightforward. New players and seasoned players alike should be able to understand their nuances fairly quickly.

| Monsters | Make heavy use of Curses to suppress your enemy, or turn those Curses into a resource to further your utility options! |
Two-star Factions
Two-star factions require a bit more effort to learn. New players may need a few games to get comfortable with them. Experienced players should be able to understand them within a game or two.

| Townsfolk | Sidestep the conventional tactics and warfare used by your opponents, we do things differently around these parts! |
Three-star Factions
Three-star factions are likely to be frustrating for newer players. Experienced players may need to play a few games with them to find their groove, before wielding them with unrelenting potency.
